ITO's mojitos y cafecitos

Hi Foodies!

ITO's mojitos y cafecitos is a true hidden gem. I was lucky enough to come across this spot thanks to a fellow fashion blogger friend of mine and I liked it so much I keep going back. Described as a retro Latin fuse gastropub, ITO's gives you all the beachy and Latin feels. It's located directly across from the beach on Ocean terrace and 74th so it's hard to see unless you happen to be on that side of the beach.

Chef Billy Garcia is by far one of the sweetest chef's I've had the pleasure of meeting. He offered me some of his corn chowder with crispy chorizo and Cuban bread croutons (which is not part of their menu). So much flavor in this dish! Between the chorizo bits and the croutons, I was in heaven. They also whipped up some churros with Guava for me since they did not have the donuts. Spectacular customer service. Please do yourself a favor and make it a point to stop by this little spot!

Antojitos sampler: Serrano ham croquette with blueberry jam, ají amarillo chicken empanada, queso frito (fried cheese) with guava sauce, and a yuca bite stuffed with queso fresco over a cilantro aioli sauce. Honestly, I can't pick a favorite. They were all so flavorful.
