Rum Day Fest 2018

Hey foodie friends

What better way to celebrate National Rum Day than a festival? National Rum Day's second annual event was hosted at The Confidante in Miami Beach and no lie, it's definitely one of my favorite festival's attended this year. Click below to see why

Imagine walking into a tropical paradise where over 20 Rum brands have joined forces and being surrounded by the cutest colorful umbrellas and cabanas, fun games, trendy photo op's, live tambores and salsa music.. Pretty dope, I know.

As soon as I stepped into The Confidante, I was greeted with a National Rum Day swag bag at the registration booth. Inside were some mini rum bottles, a bottle of pina colada mixer, some cute glasses, and a few other rum-related goodies. My first stop was the bar, of course, where I was given a choice to pick between a hibiscus or guava daiquiri.. Can you guess which I chose first? If you guessed GUAVA, you know me well! Ha.

One of my favorite things about the festival was the Cuban feel, because well, I'm half Cuban! There was a handmade cigar station, which I thought it was brilliant. The tables each had a set of domino's for the guests to play if they desired, and in the food area, there was a whole lechon (pig) decorated with fruits- all for display, but still pretty neat.

Scroll on to see my coverage from the festival!
